The Government of Malaysia is committed to addressing climate change and its potential impacts. To date, a number of policies and programmes have been initiated with a focus on conducting vulnerability assessments, adapting to the adverse impacts of climate change, inventorising greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and mitigating future climate change by reducing GHG emissions. The planning and implementation of relevant policies and action plans involve a number of Ministries and Departments.
This web portal is developed as a common sharing platform and aims to enhance the interaction and exchange of information and experiences between the National Climate Change Focal Point, government entities, and climate change professionals within the country and the region. It serves as a national climate change information clearing house to systematically collate and disseminate climate change related information in Malaysia including institutional frameworks, policies and regulations, initiatives and programmes, publications, and provides useful links to other climate-related resources.
