OBJECTIVE

  •  
To ensure that the implementation of land administration in the country and the provision of survey and mapping services are in line with current government’s policy.
  •  
To enable the National Land Council to function as an effective forum in ensuring the uniformity and consistency of land administration in the country.

 

FUNCTION

  •  
To draft/coordinate the drafting of legislations/regulations/policies on land matters, survey and mapping.
  •  
Monitor and consolidate the implementation of policies/legislation/regulations and Ministry's decisions that are related with the land, survey and mapping
  •  
To assist the Minister in the implementation of his powers and functions under the various legislations/regulations related to land matters, survey and mapping.
  •  
To coordinate follow-up actions on the incoming issues or instructions from the cabinet with the various departments/agencies within the Ministry on land matters, survey and mapping
  •  
To act as the secretariat and coordinate Malaysian international border meetings and inter-state border meetings.
  •  
Consolidate and manage the National Land Council meetings.

CLIENT'S CHARTER

Our division is committed in providing speedy, timely, efficient and effective services. Therefore, we will ensure that:

  •  
Draft Cabinet Memorandum from other related agencies will be checked/prepared within one (1) week according to the Cabinet Secretary Circular No. 1/2000.
  •  
Draft Cabinet Memorandum prepared for circulation to other agencies will be ready within two (2) weeks as per Cabinet Secretary Circular 1/2000.
  •  
Cabinet Memorandum will be sent to the Cabinet Secretariat within one (1) week after receiving all comments/feedbacks.
  •  
Feedbacks on cabinet decisions will be forwarded to the Corporate Planning Division within two (2) weeks of the cabinet decision.
  •  
Comments on other Ministries’ Cabinet Memorandum will be prepared within one (1) week.
  •  
Policy papers/working papers will be ready within one (1) month.
  •  
Preliminary draft reports on studies conducted will be ready within two (2) months after the study has been completed. The final report will be submitted for the management approval within one (1) month after the preliminary report has been accepted.
  •  
Notices on meetings and discussion papers will be distributed to members of the meeting at least seven (7)days before the meeting date.
