To aid geospatial information sharing among agencies with providing infrastructures sophisticated and latest information technology to enable information dissemination update and right |

To avoid effort overlap in collection, processing, maintenance, geospatial provision, and information dissemination among involved agencies. |
FUNCTION
|
|
An advisor to the government of Malaysia in the formulation and implementation of policies regarding geospatial data |
|
|
A coordinating body for the development of geospatial data and standards for geographic information/ geomatics |
|
|
To act as the national centre for dissemination of geospatial data |
|
|
A technical reference centre for advisory and consulting services with regard to the development and application of geospatial data. |
|
|
To develop and coordinate MyGDI Clearinghouse activities |
|
|
To plan and develop a GIS human resource development programme. |
|
|
To conduct activities to promote MyGDI throughout the country to encourage its utilisation |
|
|
To become an R&D centre for GIS. |
|
|
To represent the public sector in international forum and meetings concerning geospatial data. |
CLIENT'S CHARTER
|
|
Provide policy or data-sharing guideline geospatial to be applied supplier agency reference data, consumer and GIS practitioner within one year when was the need; |
|
|
Ensure quality geospatial data service, trustworthy (reliable), satisfy customer's requirement and annually updated follow Reference Guideline Data Quality. |
|
|
Establishing co-operation with Technical Committee 2 (TC2) SIRIM to provide standard document geospatial data for data-sharing within one year when was the need; |
|
|
Provide access service geospatial application and information-seeking each 24 hours X 7 with system up time no less from 99%; |
|
|
Organise programme outreach to promote technology geoinformation latest to target group at least 3 times a year; |
|
|
Organise human capital development program related geoinformation at least 1 times one month; and |
|
|
Take immediate action on any query on services and products within 3 days |
