OBJECTIVE

Provide infrastructures, infostructures and ICT services which can support  the vision, mission and objective of Ministry.

To ensure security and secure ICT integrity asset.
  •  
As a pioneer and role model of ICT usage in Ministry working culture.

Create excellent and competent IT personal.



FUNCTION

  •  
Develop an integrated Information Strategic Plan Ministry and Department/Agency.
Secretariat for ICT Steering Committee (JPICT) and ICT Implementation and Coordination Committee (JPICT) Ministry.
  •  
To ensure implementation of ICT projects at Ministry follow ISP planning, policy, circular and guideline as stated.
  •  
To upgrade management capability and Ministry operation through using ICT.
  •  
To support Ministry in implementing Electronic Government applications.
  •  
To control and organise ICT security which concurrent with public sector ICT security guideline.
  •  
To provide technical advices in related ICT field.
  •  
To plan and implement ICT capacity building.
  •  
To plan, develop and maintain application system which can support function and operation of Ministry.
  •  
To plan and implement procurement process and write off ICT equipment.
  •  
To plan and coordinate development concurrent with NRE*Net implementation.



CLIENT'S CHARTER

We pledge to deliver quality services with efficiency and integrity as follows:-

Meeting client’s requirements as agreed;

Meeting defined timeline; and
  •  
Compliance with laws, policies and regulations.

ICT Governance
  •  
Notify the decision of technical approval application for ICT project to the Department/Agency/Division within five (5) working days upon official notification of the decision.
  •  
Ensure technical evaluation on tender/quotation are completed within twenty one (21) working days from the receipt date of all related documents.

ICT Client Services
  •  
Ensure ICT facilities for client is ready within three (3) to thirty (30) working days upon receiving the request.
  •  
Feedback to client's complaints/advisories within three (3) working days.

ICT Application
  •  
Ensure the development of application system meets client’s specification requirements within the agreed timeline.
  •  
Ensure 95% availability of application systems managed by the Information Management Division.
