1)	To advise The Director General of Surveying and Mapping Department as the Director of National Mapping in matters that connects with Mapping Policy

3)	To regulate the policy and the guidlines regarding the programme of Mapping activity and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure
4)	To coordinate the program, mapping activities and National Spatial Policy
5)	To coordinate the development, initializing and spatial data management
6)	To advise the development of human resources, the transmission, developmental and the exchange of information technology amongst the committee members
7)	To establish subsidiary committee for specify objectives
