Tips on how to use Table A above in the case of export/ re-export or movement across the border from Malaysia or from Peninsular Malaysia to either Sabah or Sarawak or vice versa:
First step:
i. What kind of specimens involved in your application?
ii. Where is the shipment’s/ specimen’s application being processed?
iii. Identify the region in column A and the designated MA.
iv. Apply for the required permits/ certificates.
Second Step:
v. Where is the destination of the shipment or specimen (as of item (ii) above)?
vi. Identify the region in column A and the designated MA.
vii. Apply for the required permits/ certificate.
Third Step:
viii. Upon shipment, complete the approved permits by ensuring endorsement by related government
agencies at exit points.
ix. Keep the permits/ certificates at all time. Permits/ certificates are valid for 6 months from the point
of approval.
Fourth Step:
x. When a permit/ certificate expired and there is still need to transport the same specimen across
border, the bearer of the permit/ certificate should apply for a new permit. There is no application for
extension of period for any expired permit/ certificates.
